Quote Book, Pincushions and a few bits and pieces

The cooler weather has finally set in a little in sunny Queensland, it doesn't really get that cold here but the coolness is a nice break from the heat in the other 8 months of the year!!  The children had their school break and are now comfortably back in school and life is moving along merrily :)

What have I been up to?

I held my very first Challenge on my youtube channel to celebrate having 1,000 subscribers which received a wonderful response, I also hit my one year mark on youtube and I just celebrated my Birthday so I guess that has kept me pretty busy over the past few weeks, along with my crafting that is.

There was a lovely swap I completed with a lady named Wendy (LollyDollyCrafts on youtube), I unfortunately have no photos of the goodies I made for her but I do have a video with them in. The swap was to make a Snippet Roll, Fabric Wall Collage and a surprise gift, all in a vintage shabby chic style.

I then entered my first two challenges on youtube, one being for Bonnie's lace challenge and the other for a Fairy Day Challenge, here are the projects I made for them.

This first one is a little balsa box found at the thrift store, the challenge was to use three different laces on an altered project. I really love the way it turned out, so very pretty.

The second challenge was to make something for Fairy Day, I chose to make a little paper shoe using the Kaisercraft 'Enchanted Garden' range of papers, I think it looks so sweet!!

Both these projects are on the 'Mad About Scrappin' blog with all information on the products I used, just click the picture to take you there :)

Another fun project I made was using a digital paper kit from Kitty's Scrap Post called 'Un Belle Vie', I had a lot of fun making this little Quote Book, lots of scraps of lace and very quick to put together. I made this for my Mother in-law's birthday, she absolutely loved it, yay!!

This old sugar bowl was given a new life recently by being turned into a lovely pin cushion, the patina on the bowl was just too lovely to cover up too much so the simple embellishments were perfect for it. I also made a tiny pincushion from an old candlestick which now resembles a white rosebud.

I also finished my second Art Dress for a swap with a lady named Carole who is Mademoiselle Ashphodel on youtube, once again it was so much fun making it and seeing it finished gave me a lot of joy. It had to be shipped to Canada so a box for it to go in was also needed, you can see them both here in my video.

There were probably a few more little projects I finished but they just escape me at the moment, I must make a habit of blogging more regularly in future, thank you for taking the time to stop by.
